We all have a friend who tells us the story of that horrible date.

It starts with Mr. Nice Guy incessantly telling her how much of a ‘nice guy’ he is. And it ends with him being rude to the waiter, proving that he is in fact, Mr. Not-So-Nice Guy.

My dating story is an example demonstrating the difference between showing, not telling.

There’s one culprit in the business world that continues to tell, not show.

Brand values.

Values aren’t just something that goes on the office wall.

Values are the building blocks of culture.

And they inspire united action.

Do you want to:

// Attract the best employees and dream clients? Show them your company appeal and how you guys do things.

// To join forces with great partners? Show them what makes you special and how joined up the team is.

// To collaborate with awesome brands and organisations? Show them what you stand for and care about.

Because values are really friggin valuable:

Values unite people.
You can have lots of people doing lots of different jobs, but if they value the same thing, there’s an undercurrent of mutual respect that unites them in a powerful way.

Values attract the best talent, partners and brands.
It’s your best retention strategy. If people have a great cultural experience, they’ll stick around and come back for more.

Values keep you in check and on the right road.
They help guide you when it comes to recruitment, expansion and partnership opportunities.

EMAIL ME and share with me a time when your company values played a key role in your organisation!
